Exercise
Necessary components of effective exercise:
- Consistency - the body needs daily activity
- Aerobic and anaerobic types of movement
- Flexing - not just posing, but tightly contracting muscles, both
with and without resistance will provide definition
- Desire - without it, none of the movements will be effective. There
will be no "heart" in the workouts.
- Overall Goals - see that exercise fits into your daily life.
Workouts that are only for the gym may easily be discarded because there
is no connection to one's overall life.
- Stretching - the balancing component to exercise. The body's
musculature is balanced by opposing, or antagonistic, muscles. (For
example, the bicep balances the tricep. The tricep must be able to
stretch in the opposite direction.) This is accomplished by
pre-stretching all muscles so that an antagonistic muscle group will not
interfere with the tightening of the contracting mucle group.
